Ive been to Bali 2 times before (March 04 & Nov 04) and on both occassions the same travel warnings have existed. It has not deterred me & Ive had a great holiday both times without ANY problems. Im also booked in to leave again this October, and am equally undeterred by the warnings. Just use your common sense and be careful, exactly like you would be if you travel anywhere new or foreign. If you like I can let you know what the vibe is like over there before you need to leave, that way you may feel reassurred.
