I did the Casa Luna cooking class a couple of weeks ago and was a bit disappointed by it. Was mostly just a demonstration and not any real hands on. The market tour was very interesting - if very hot and uncomfortable - but the class itself was a let down. It might have had something to do with the fact that it was a full house of 15 people (which was way way too many). The thing that annoyed me was that most of the group all knew each other, were mostly snobs, and crowded up close to the tables so it was always 2 or 3 deep and shoulder to shoulder (which sucks on a hot day) instead of standing back a few feet so everyone could see comfortably.

I did learn about the spices and making spice pastes etc, which was very useful, but I wouldn't do the class again. I'd go to one that takes much smaller groups - like no more than 8 people at once.
