It was an experience never to forget, I was told to take no money no phone no camera/ video recorders etc. So off i went with many 1,000Rps down my bra and loaded with a green shopping bag(wollies large one) over flowing with things. To statr with you have to be related to someone in there (if you are a tourist) I got in never got searched nor did the bag full of goodies(corn chips, salsa dip, icey strips, red cordial, chocky bars, jelly lollies, long life milk drinks, BBQ shapes, Chicken crimpy bickies, reading books) you have to get through 4 check points only 1 asked for costs you to go through was how he put it, donation (I call it a bribe) I said I have no money and the australian consulate person is waiting inside for me(I had met him near the front door and he wished me luck getting in, I had told him a few names of people who i know) I got through once you go through all check points then there are NO GUARDS the prison is run by the male prisioners on the inside apprently they have full run and women are locked up unless they have a visitor.

It is an experience i will never forget and i felt great spending just a little of my holiday doing my good deed. It was something I had wanted to do. Not something I would recommend for everyone, not just anyone can go inside.
