Hi there,
Have just returned from our third Bali trip this morning and as always spent a few days in Ubud. We also stayed at the Tegal Sari, Wooden Rooms but the new Super Deluxe Bungalows looked great. They also have transport around the local area so if you want to pop into central Ubud at anytime they will drive you with about 10-15mins notice and then come and collect you when you call.
You have a great list of restaurants there including some of our favourites:
Warung Enak - has a wonderful menu of traditional Indonesian Cuisine and very friendly staff and it's right next door to Tegal Sari.
Barandi - fabulous food - international flavour, great staff and a 5 minute walk across the road from Tegal Sari
Cafe Wayan - in Ubud central great food any time of the day in a lovely setting, wonderful selection of cakes in the bakery section at the front.
Indus - TO DIE FOR french toast, the best blueberry buttermilk corncakes - we have only ever had breakfast there but I have heard the rest of the menu is devine.
Casa Luna & Cafe Lotus are across the road from each other and are both lovely. Casa Luna shares the same ownership as Indus - have had a lovely lunch there and they make the best Avocado Juice. Cafe Lotus has a beautiful setting amongst a large pond filled with Lotus flowers and traditional dancers at night.
Sounds like you have a great trip ahead of you - enjoy!
