raised in my ramblings really didn't limit themselves to this particular girl Balibabe. However, I would draw attention to your statement "I can tell you she has never been one to touch drugs of any type"... how can you really say that?? At best, I would think you can only repeat what you may have seen yourself, or heard from others... and isn't that pretty well exactly what I did? Other posters state that she may or may not be guilty, only she would know, you yourself agree with this in subsequent postings.. I say, if your statement is to be presumed totally accurate, what exactly did the Police find in her possession??
With regard to her lawyer, of course he would deny everything.. he has his job to do.. yes, she IS innocent until proven guilty... one could not reasonably expect him to say "silly girl, of course she uses stuff"... that would be akin to suicide!
Anyways... no hard feelings from here.. I guess all we can do is watch & wait.. hoping as always... because one thing is for sure, the Indonesian Court system will make its own mind up in due course, and our total combined opinions will not matter a fat rat's ass to that Court. Our emotions will also have nil bearing on any outcome you can bet on that. Regardless of what anyone says or thinks, if a person gets caught with anything illegal in many Asian countries it is only the depth that varies. This has been the case for many years (just recall Barlow & Chambers in Thailand) and now, Bali is finally coming on line with the rest of Asia. If, on the other hand, you don't get caught with anything illegal in your possession, you should reasonably expect to be able to catch your return flight without too much drama! I guess it all boils down to priorities & perspective eh! Cheers, Phil & Rhonda.
