I expect you pay a hiring rate, not sure.
My advice is to go without and sit out on your balcony with a good book and watch the workers in the fields.
We were there 3 weeks ago, in room 12 upstairs and watched the rice fields being stripped/harvested, the stubble being slashed, ducks collecting the left over grains of rice and grubs. Its amazing to see the number of eggs that the duxk farmers collect each morning. Its an ever changing view.
Must be time for the new rice plants to be sown.
We noticed in the corner of some plots a few rice plants were not harvested and expect these grains are later used to sow the new plants and crops.
