BB and I came close to a violent response to those "ooh aah ing" our trip to Bali in July. We got the same response when we went to the Middle East after Sept 11.
The "old women" of both sexes come out of the woodwork whenever their xenophobia is activated. In my view Bali is a lot safer than Australia. eg Tasmania and Martin Bryant, Melbourne and Hoddle Street, Adelaide and the Snowtown group, etc etc.Oh yes don't forget London or New York.
I haven't got food poisioning in Bali but certainly have got it from
Hotels and restaurents in Oz.
These people are an argument in favour of selective breeding - ignore them and enjoy your trip.
