Just to prove I'm not completely addicted, it's taken me over 12 hours to respond! (OK sick child and sick computer have helped).

MEDICINES - aqua ear (which I've mentioned so many times you'll think I'm employed by them), earplugs sound a good idea too. We bought a large (approx 500ml) pump bottle of Aqium antibacterial hand gel (by ego) that sat by the sink for washing hands. Also got a 70ml purse size bottle (which we could refill from the large one) that went everywhere with us. Great for washing your hands before eating (or after riding turtles etc!) As it says on the label 'no rinse, no fuss', was v handy. I bought at a chemist in Aus, don't think it's at supermarkets.

Lots is available over there - all the usual panadol etc (but still good to have some on hand). One thing I forgot was sigmacorte/celestone cream my daughter & I use for eczema. Neither of us had used it for ages in Aus, but both flared up with the heat of Bali - so if you have anyone prone to eczema/rashes - be prepared.

DVDs - There are lots of kids ones avail there - all the Disney, lots of Barney and of course Dora - but I never saw any Hi-5, Wiggles or Play School, so more American oriented that Australian artists. Although there was Hillsong kids which I found amazing.

I've done an earlier post on this, but I'd go first to Poppies 2 & Kuta Sq near art markets where we found shops selling multi-dvds. You'll love this - we got 6 Dora DVD's on 1 disc at a shop on Poppies 2! 4yo (currently sick), spent hours on lounge yesterday watching this, so I can verify that all of them do work! I don't know the name of this shop, but if you enter Poppies 2 from Bali Bomb Memorial end, it's on the RHS of street, probably 50-100m along. They have lots of photos of tourists on wall behind counter. While I was there an Aussie girl bought in a photo of herself with a girl from the shop to add to their collection - so they must be popular. You will pass a couple of other dvd shops on right, but they don't stock the multi-dvd's. (although there is one on the left that has some, but not Dora). Buy the multi's early, so you can check they all work, and return/swap if necessary if there's a problem before you leave.
At the Kuta Sq art market dvd shop we got 11 Barney DVD's on 1 disc (thank goodness she hasn't watched all those yet!) She's not that big a Barney fan, but 11 in 1 was just too good to resist (for the massive price of 10,000rph!)
