and it was great. The rooms are spacious as are the bathrooms (spa baths, huge shower, marble floors & walls). The rooms are slightly dated but great nonetheless. We had an ocean view room on the ground floor, right near the pool. We didn't find it noisy & was close to everything. The breakfast is good, plenty of choices, but basically the same every day. The staff are delightufl - very friendly & helpful. Plenty of restaurants up the street, and across the road is a restaurant that had just opened up when we were there last year, but I can't remember the name. It's directly across from the hotel & their mushroom risotto is exceptional, they have 'tourist restaurant' prices and they make a lousy but very alcoholic strawberry daquiri! They do have a money changer in the hotel but lousy rates - you're better off going up the road to Kodak. We don't take cash as our account is with a credit union so no fees for overseas withdrawals - we just go up to Circle K & use the ATM. You'll enjoy your stay with them, I think. Cheers, Sue.
