I have noticed recently that there have been a few posts asking about hiring or buying a DVD player in Bali.. this may solve the problem for some of you..
While out shopping yesterday afternoon searching for a present for a teenager I stumbled into Strathfield. Stores are in most states if not all within Australia.
Being a teenager there isnt a lot of room in the bedroom for a standard size DVD player and this kid only has a smallish tv.
So I ask the sales guy about DVD's and he shows me the usual and then I explain and he says .."oh, ok come over here I think I may have what you want"...
OMG he shows me this tiny little thing, actual measuements are 18cm long [7 inches], 14.5cm [5.5 inches] wide & 3cm [1 1/4 inches] high.
It comes with a remote control really thin, the plugs to go into tv and a plug similar to that of a mobile phone charger which goes into the dvd player one end and to the powerpoint the other...doh!!
Are you ready for this... $69..
bought 2 for that price. Set one up last night put in some bali DVD's and they all worked a treat...so do yourselves a favour, visit Strathfield.. It is so small you can take it with you and bring it back home without taking up too much room in luggage.
