I remember many years ago in Bali (well, about 7 or so), bottles of wine were quite expensive, comparably to what we pay here and compared to what it costs for cocktails etc.
Has this improved, ie any cheaper? I remember going to a restaurant (or was it at the hotel?) and a bottle of relatively el cheapo white wine was about $30 or similar, some dearer. There are sometimes in your day when only a glass of good cold dry white wine will do the trick.
Any recent experiences re cost of a bottle in Bali? I dont necessarily have to have Oz wine, the local brew will be fine if its nice and dry and white and cold....
Why is it so expensive. Australia is only over the road, must be the import duty tax or something. Some rubbish no doubt.
