on the beach. We had nothing booked and just walked along the beach. It was about $10 a night but i wouldn't do it that cheap again. There was cold water (a hose coming out of the wall), local toilet. The chickens walked under the bungalow and woke you up. BUT we loved the place. We stayed 3 days I think. We just lazed on the beach, went snorkelling. Lights went out at 9pm so if you want night life forget it. Depends if you are happy with nothing to do. The other islands are bigger with more to do.
If I go back I would stay in better accom. But other than that I wouldn't change anything. Just hubby and I went. Kids would be bored on Gili Air. You can walk around it in 15mins. You could spend a week Island hopping. That's what I'd do. A few days on each maybe.
