I have stayed in the Aston In may of this year.
The hotel is really nice and the staff is excellent.
Altough the tanjung Benoa area is a bit quit for me.
But to Kuta is about 20 minutes and to answer your question regarding taxis with meter is about 42.000 RP,and in front of the hotel is a stand with taxis with no meter and they are willing to drive you for 50.000
