The rooms have been done up and are quite nice. I have usually stayed in the fan rooms though which are a bit scabby (but cheap).
The pool isn't real big but quite nice. There is a really long driveway which is a bit of a pain walking down but not scary of a night or anything. You can walk out the back gate for easy access to the beach.
It's a good budget hotel. Breakfasts are quite good. Fruit, juice, coffee, noodles, rice or eggs. Try Puri Tanah Lot restaurant just oposite for good, cheap meals. They also play movies of a night if you feel like that. Just walk up to Melasti Street for haeps of restaurants and the markets (cheaper than Kuta).
I'm sure you will enjoy it. It's a great area to be in.
