...you are correct, what people bring back from Bali shouldn't worry me, and trust me, it does NOT. They could bring back rocks in their luggage, for all I care. Yet, somehow, it seems incongruous that one would be bringing back plastic things from a 3rd world country: the reverse would be more comprehensible. Don't they have tupperware in Australia? I am sure they do. It's all over the world, and furthermore, one can buy it on the internet in all sizes, shapes and colors.

Talking about bringing back rocks in one's luggage...I did do that on two occasions. I brought back a piece of stalactite from a cave near my mother's village, in the mountains of Aragon, and a beautiful stratified piece of rock formation from Sognefiord, in Norway (my favorite country). Each must have weight about 10 kgs. Both pieces of rock were included in the stonework of the chimney I was building in my house's living room.
