Jakarta to Medan. Many airlines fly from Bali to Jakarta namely Garuda, Adamair, Lion Air
Do not buy your tickets outside Indonesia, it will cost at least double, if not more. Prices are extremely low these days even with Garuda because there is so much competition now.
In February this year I flew from Medan to Jakarta with Mandala and the price one way was about 430,000 rupiah.(about $63AUD).
Have flown with Mandala a few times before like Padang to Medan and Medan to Jakarta, no problems at all.
