There is an excellent bead shop called Toko Central just near Bemo Corner, Kuta. From Bemo corner walk away from the beach. About 1km. Go over a little bridge and the road bends left. On the outside of that bend is a bead shop. The walls are lined with bags of beads. In the counters they have small bags of beads (100grams) for as little as 2.000rp a bag. Very cheap. Great for embroidery or making necklaces, bracelets etc. They have hooks etc too. They mainly sell to locals so not many staff speak English. You can just point to what you want and they will write the price down.
It's amazing the quantity they have. Worth a look.
