For all of you fans of the Legian Garden Restuarant you'll be happy to know that Keteut Subagia has branched out and opened a new place on Jln Dhyana Pura. The new place is called 'Lucky Day Pub and Cuisine' and Ketut has once again set a wonderful standard for others to follow as he did many years ago with 'Taman Legian Garden'.

I was privileged to be there for a blessing ceremony a few weeks back with my arrival catching Ketut unawares. He had opted for a low key ceremony but was pleased that I found my way there to join him.
The staff at Legian Garden gave him up pretty quick when I asked where he was.

The decor at 'Lucky Day' is very comfortable and relaxing with a number of different seatng styles available to diners. Ketut has used his vast experience to make sure that most tastes will be catered for in this area. He has also wisely chosen a Lumbung style roof that towers over ten metres in the air giving diners an almost outdoor experience enhanced by the local breeze that flows through of the evening.

The extra ammenities you will find to enhance your time at 'Lucky Day' will become obvious. The kitchen is of the most modern materials and style designed with an eye to helping Chefs and Tablestaff work together as a team.
The toilets have been lifted up a notch to not only match, but surpass Bali's recently expected high standard for places such as this. The airconditioning in the toilets is also a nice touch.

The sound system is probably Ketuts pride and joy as was demonstrated by the way he drooled when he told me what it cost and by the way I banged my head against the wall for a minute after.

As for the food, I'd love to tell you that I ate off the menu, but I didn't. I had to suffer through a Babi Guling cooked by the staff along with many other things that I really didn't bother to eat because the Babi Guling is so bloody beautiful.
But as you all know, 'Legian Garden' has been providing wonderful fare for so many of us for a long long time now, there is no reason to think that Ketut would provide us with less at his new venture.

Try it if you get the chance.

And tell Ketut that Cracker and Rae say g'day.
