Not that I'm passing the buck, but the staff at Tegal will be only too happy to answer all your questions that may be troubling you, their object at the hotel is to please.
Meanwhile, hopefully I can shed a little light on to a few of your questions. Re the rooms, I have only had a glimpse whilst passing by them so can not fill you in on the bathrooms, but the rooms seemed quite ok to me..I believe from memory that ALL the rooms have an outside verandah area which would more than be enough for your little fellow and yourself to while away a few hours. Also the pool area is quite lovely and has shady areas also for you to sit in. There is also a small covered area as well near the small restaurant, that people sit in and read, plus Tegal also has an upstairs internet and smallish reading room. I hope some of this helps.
