a few shipments of shoes. Make sure your contact in Bali is reliable also I would check out their factory etc. Our supplier organised the cargo themselves if think from memory MSA The first couple of shipments were good and I cleared the goods myself but customs do not like you not to use customs agents so under some pressure 3rd delivery I had to use custom agent and pay for something I could have done myself. If you want to clear yourself you fill out the forms and pay the relevant taxes eg. import duty and gst (which is on freight and goods 10 percent)but then customs say you have to return next day to get delivery order (which usually means you will have to pay storage costs with freight company) You can definately make money of goods but I sold goods with realistic markup as turn over is better than overpricing goods and not getting rid of them. I hope this helps. If I did not work fulltime I would definately do more of this and I think a party plan idea would be better than paying rent keep your overheads down. It is amazing by word of mouth how many shoes I sold. good lucl
