Booked through nicno, from the Forum, great work Nicki.

A.P. from Melbourne (direct) 2 movies, 6 drinks per person and the coldest Bintangs i,ve ever had. Well done A.P. V.O.A all very quick but had to waite for our cases.

Bounty Hotel. was great as usual (27th time) many young guests and as we had our 22 year old son with us we enjoyed all the more. There was a group of 13, late twenties who decided they had to cause a little havoc for the rest of the guests and management with whom we could of done without. Meet Doc from perth and his mates, all great people. Hi doc.! also dennisc and Carol. This was to be our last stay at the Bounty as we are getting older and require a little more
quietness than what the Bounty offers the young. There is a big need for a hotel such as the Bounty for the young and young at heart
and we wish all the management and staff all the best for the future.

Pelangi Hotel in Seminyak. We stayed here for 6 nights and just loved this place. Full of Australians, overlooks the beach, nicely
located in proximity to the upmarket restaurants in Seminyak. Bintangs not as cold as the Bounty tho!!!!.

S&S. 15 of us went on the 20th July as posted. Meet SmudgeUK and Made,Travella, Jenben and friends, Tuberose and hubby,Craker and Ray and their seven children. Baz and friends and sorry, iv'e forgotten some of the others names. Sammie and Sussie are both well and send their regards to all Forumits.

Restuarnats we dined at;
Kori, Kuta. Excellent food, wine and service.
Ke de ta. Excellent food, service, a little pricey but worth it.
La Luciola. A small menu but they get it right. romantic venue.
Lemongrass. Food o.k., understaffed service.
Secret Garden. O.k. problems with cattering for larger groups tho.
Buonty Hotel, one of the best meals we had, try the stakes!.
Pelangi Hotel. Great indonesian food, problem with larger group.
Warung 96, Kuta and Jegeg Bulan. Two of the best cheap eats and the service is just great, also can handle large groups.
Bali Corner Cafe. Great cheap eats, try the Egg/Crab meat soup.
Maccoroni. Great italian, service and wine.
Indo National. We went for lunch only and were looking forward to eating here but were disappointed by both the service and some dishes. Bintangs very cold to icy cold.
Menega Restaurant, Jimbaran Bay. 3 large fish, 1 kilo Chumi, 2 Kilos
Pippies for 5 adults, we couldn't eat it all and it cost 50,000 rp.
per person.

Many massages at differnt places, the best for myself that i enjoyed
was Lili Salon In Julan Benisari, 50,000 rp. Pelangi Hotel Spa. 135,000 rp.

An item of interest that all of our group were purchasing was the rings, bracelets and pendants made from silver or coins that depicts the Balinese Hindu symbol or as they hawkers refer to as the Bali good luck symbol. These are now availabe from the hawkers on the beach, in some of the display cabinets in some of the cheaper shops and we also came across two very expensive pendants in a silver shop.
2,000,000 Rp each but very nice. From the Hawkers, rings 40,000 Rp.
Braclets 80,000 Rp and Pendants 60,000. Rp. all these items make very interesting jewelery and good conversation pieces.

Nusa Lembogan, Regina and I have done this day trip 4 times now and we still enjoy the day very much. We paid US$50 per person and went on the Bounty ship. Many activities and I also paid an additional 400,000 Rp. to Scuba Dive, this lasted 40 minutes in 10 meters of water. The scenery and the tropical fish were just outstanding, well
worth doing.

My wife and i don't shop much as we have been to Bali many times but we still managed to be 18 kilos over weight on the trip home. All of our group were over weight but only three were charged AUD $200 for 66 kilos between them.

Booking again asap.

Bob
