Small house to rent, Ubud, Sept-Nov?

Looking for a NICE house/cottage/bungalow/villa in to rent in Ubud area for any or all of 15 Sept to 11 Nov '05. Three of us (1 adult/2 kids), 1-bedroom is adequate. Reasonably priced, and must have hot water! I know I can find loads of high-end villas on the internet, but too costly for me... have seen a few nice looking places advertised around the US$350 - $700 mark, but none looks exactly what I'm looking for yet...

Any ideas on how I could go about finding something, or about likelihood of finding something decent if I just show up in September with nothing booked? Aus/NZ school holidays start 17th Sept or so :(
will that make any difference?
