as cosamlin suggests, but you follow it up too. Make sure that there is something in writing. In the past airlines have been pretty understanding about weddings, children, etc, particularly airlines like Garuda (soppy lot of people, really).
Get to the airport early, check in early and give them tonnes of time to organise it. Normally is placed where the stewardess puts her stuff!
