Two things I should report straight away. The first that AP are checking carry on luggage, not the dimensions only the weight. I was very worried about our cases, because the were probably 5kgs over, so I made the carry on exactly 7 kgs. They said one was 10kgs and the other 9kgs. I weighed them when we got home and one was 8 kgs and the other 7 kgs? They took them with our cases which was a blessing because we did not have to lug them around, especially as we had to go down stairs to a bus and then up the stairs to the plane. Would you believe they did not weigh our large suitcases.
The other report is that on Monday night a girl from the Puri Raja was hurt when a motorbike thief tried to pull her bag from her shoulder. I spoke to her on Wednesday and she was OK, she had to go the hospital to be checked out as she was dragged along, but she did not let go of her bag and got a graze on her back. The motor bike rider came off and the Balinese that saw the accident gave him a terrible beating and he ended up in hospital. The girl said they said to her they should have killed him. I will be interesting to see the length of his sentence which I think will be a long one. I must go to bed I stuffed with no sleep. I will do a brief JBR soon.
