Last year in December I went to the Traveller's medical centre in Sydney and discussed with the doctor there what my options would be seeing I would not take larium again and my last experience with Doxy resulted in a highly allergic reaction with a rash all over my body.
When he heard that I am not that attractive to mosquitoes he suggested I buy 12 malarone tabs, cover up, burn mosquito coils in my room at night and wear deet product and watch for any malaria symptoms. If I developed symptoms I had to begin taking the malarone and get to a medical centre asap.
This is what I did, except take the malarone as I had no malarial symptoms staying in Indonesia for 58 days and travelling in West Java, West Sumatra and North Sumatra.
