The best thing for everyone to do is to consult their own doctor and/or a travel medicine specialist. Keep in mind that most general practitioners have no idea about travel medicine. To give the best advice, your medical history and records need to be reviewed along with your itinerary. The CDC (Center for Disease control) has a website that is used as reference by all medical professional, and you might want to have a look yourself, or even print out the applicable pages and take them with you to your GP. Nothing has changed in the past year.
We saw a travel medicine doctor who advised that we all needed to be up to date on polio, diptheria/pertussis/tetanus, measles/mumps/rubella. She also said that it would be prudent for all of us to be vaxed for Japanese Encephalitis as it is common in Bali, as well as Hepatitis A. Hepatitis B was an option, but we aren't in a high risk group (risking exposure to blood/body fluids of infected people).
In the end, you do what is best for your situation. Getting good information and medical advice is crucial in the decision making process.
