When I first mentioned to hubby that I wanted to go with my friend he said 'No' - I just looked at him, decided to ignore that response (I mean he had to be kidding, right?!) and went ahead and booked it anyway! He soon got used to the idea.
I suppose it depends how old the kids are too, mine are 9 and 12 so they're not toooo difficult to manage. Oh and it was school holidays, so the morning routine wasn't a problem.
