The paintings were given to me as presents from a Balinese friend. I had been told that I could take them on as carry on luggage so had just wrapped them in brown paper. I had 3 paintings, they are superb, traditional Bainese paintings from my friends villlage. At the airport I was still told that I could take them on as carry on, until I got to the checkin counter where I was told they were too long for hand luggage. I signed a slip taking responsibilty from the airline for any damage, they were labelled fragile and went in the hold. Yes they did arrive in one piece. Now I just have to hang them. I had a wonderful time this trip.
