We flew back on the Thursday night last year and was direct flight but may have changed. Sorry cant be anymore helpful than that. Just assumed that both were direct return home as Adelaide goes via Melbourne on way over. Was told by agent last year that was done so one got direct flight one way the other the way back. Hope this helps.
