The Westin Nusa Dua was called the Sheraton Nusa Indah and changed its name after the following:
The following is PART of the article and I quote from the article
Last year the Herald Sun reported on a disturbing allegation of sexual assault involving a Melbourne toddler.
As Russell Robinson reports.
It was during a Bali at an exclusive Bali resort the the toddler contracted gonorrhoea.
Parents Andrea and Geoff (not real names) maintain that the only times "Casey" was out of their sight were when she visited the five star hotels creche.
It was at the three year old's insistence that they allowed her to spend the last five days of their stay at the centre.
That was in Jan. 2001, and the creche had been heavily promoted within the Sheraton Nusa Indah Resort Hotel, and by the couple's Melbourne travel agency as a safe environment.
The day after their return to Melbourne, they noticed a heavy discharge from Casey's genitals, and her temp. hovering between 39C and 40C.
She was taken to a local Doctor, and tests revealed she was suffering from gonorroea that, according to medical records was an Indonesian strain.
Gonorrhoea is a notifiable disease, so the Victorian police were immediately alerted, followed by the Australian Federal police and the Indonesian police. To this date no one has been charged.
Her parents sued the Hotels owners in the Victorian Supreme court. The Sheraton Overseas Management Corporation has not admitted responsibility and denies the allegation.
Almost two months ago they reached an out of court settlement involving a payment of $62.000 to Casey and some legal costs.
