Exchange money over there, not in australia. we exchange about $20 just to get us started,so we have atleast $5 to get the taxi from the airport to the hotel (you will prob get change from that $5). The excahnge rate is heaps better over there. As for taking enough well, we usually take about $2500 between us (2 of us) and that is for a 14 day trip and quite often we head home with about $500. That includes all the food you can eat, and as many drinks as you want. We load our cases up to come home with all our shopping, and feel completely fulfilled when we leave. We don't usuallly so the elephant rides and stuff, but have taken on the whitewater rafting and a few island tours, and the money still seems to keep on stretching out. That is one of the reasons it is such a great place for a holiday!
