I have heard that it is a bit of a party place, but most of it happens around the pool. I do not know anyone around the age you mentioned who has stayed there. I have been told though that the Dewi Sri hotel which is the sister hotel to the Barong as it is also owned by the Bounty group, is a really good hotel for older people, and families as it is a bit quieter and more suited to the older age groups or those that just want to have a quiet more relaxing holiday and perhaps party at a more relaxed pace. I am not a party all night person and need my sleep and also have an 8 month old so would probably not choose to stay at the Barong.Still, if you don't mind a bit of partying and a few drinks, you will probably love the Barong.
