recently there was a programme on SBS in regards to the problems that Garuda are facing. No it is not financial as the airline is owned by the Indonesian government. They actually sacked the entire board of Garuda and have installed a new chairman and board members. There was a bit of apparent corruption going on, but things are much smoother sailing now. I have flown Garuda many times in my 20 trips to Bali. They have an excellent service and on the odd occassion that there has been a delay it is usually due to a problem at the other end ie weather etc. Just last week a flight was cancelled to Perth due to weather conditions, hence causing a delay in the Perth / Bali flight. Other than that, just go ahead and book your holidays and enjoy....
