it is the end of Ramadan (sp?). Our flight arrived at midnight and we were staying at LBH. It took us 90 minutes to get to LBH because of the traffic. While Bali is mostly Hindu, the Javanese are on holiday and go to Bali. It seems that they stay mainly along the Tuban Legian Kuta beach areas, so I would think Ubud would be OK, maybe also Sanur and Nusa Dua.
It lasted for around 5 days from memory. They mostly didnt seem to eat at the local restaurants, they just clogged up that road that runs along Legian beach and up into Melasti. And stayed on the beach for many hours around sunset, so very crowded there.
