Hi There Ric,
I have made a couple of posts now on the subject of these particular locks and have mentioned resetting, including combinations. However, there really are no worries as, if the lock has been genuinely inspected it will have been opened with a special and very specific security key prior to recosing. When closed the lock displays the red dot which alerts you to the fact that the lock has been opened since you last closed it. In the USA a note, from the security people is placed in the bag to advise you. To reopen you simply use the existing combination, supposedly known only to you and always have the option to reset a new combination or stick with what you have. There will always be the possibility that someone may have access to an illegal key but you will know that the case has been tampered with as they can not reset the lock, thus getting rid of the red dot, without the original combination. In a similar manner you are not able to produce the red dot yourself without access to a key. As far as I am aware, and as I have been told, they are the safest locks available on the market today.
Hope this has helped ease any doubts you may have.
Cheers
Maverick
