sales people so either way, they will tell you most destinations (unless totally unsafe) are quite popular. Well thats my personal view on it anyway and they are just going their job. I think Bali is quieter when its not school holidays and also its pretty hot at the moment I think and some people prefer a bit of rain and relief that comes after November, although that also attracts humidity too so its each to their own.
You bet some people (and that is SOME people) have been scared off by recent events but again, each to their own. Maybe there has been concerned parents not wanting to take the kids, young travellers worried about their luggage, some people take these issues very seriously while others just dont worry about it. I know people that have flat out said to me they refuse to visit Bali ever again because of a couple of different reasons. People get over it, people try different places, people get concerned about safety but then again there are alot of us that go back year after year. Its funny isn't it.
