Just back from 6 short nights in Bali. Flew australian airlines from Perth with my friend and my hubby stayed home so i could shop, shop, shop.
Stayed at Bounty hotel which seemed only a third full.My single friend was quiet happy though cos the ratio of boys to chicks was about 4 to 1.
Checked out Melasti Beach Resort and got my hair braided they did a fantastic job. My friend went there about four times for a 4hour deluxe bath, massage, pedicure etc. She said she would highly recommend it to anyone. I didn't try it as i just couldn't bring myself to waste a day indoors in beautiful bali when i was only there a few days.
Bali seemed extremely quiet to me. There were not many people around.
The exchange rate i was getting was 7300rp.
Had a good time but my friend and i were after two completely different holidays she wanted to relax, massage, mcdonalds and starbucks were as i wanted to shop, shop and eat some delicious indonesian food. I just couldn't get her away from Mc donalds she was worried she'd get sick. I should've realised it when she had every needle under the sun the week before we left and must have bought every item from the chemist ....just in case something happend.
So i didn't really get to eat anywhere except on the last night we ate at fuel which was nice but a bit on the pricey side for Bali.
was trying to get into ubud to c my sponsor kids but didn't get the time so i called agung and he organised to come pick up their gifts from our hotel. Was really dissapointed i didn't get to c them.

So i can't complain cos i was in Bali but when i got home i whinged to hubby so much about not getting to sight see and shop etc that he has told me if i shut up and can save the money i can nick over in the July school holidays by myself to get everything done.....yayyyyyyy but i think the poor bugger dosen't realise how badly i wanna go bak. i worked out a budget and i can't save enough by then to get me there. So i though of ways to cut our costs down..... No more fancy dinners for him maybe baked beans on toast or we'll just pop into our family members around dinner time to scab a free meal.hehe No more silk toilet paper he can use the red dot scratchy one oh and no more scruching the roll we could have a one sheet per sh*t limit, no more electricity we'll just burn candles. no more mach 3 razors he can use those doggy disposables that take half your skin off before you start. hehehe any other cost saving ideas to get me there...???
So now i'm so excited because i can go but so worried i won't make it. ahhhh it's killing me. I had the bali bug since i was 13 the first time i went and it kinda dropped off when i first met hubby we still went but i wasn't desperate to go, but now that whole lovey dovey stage has worn off and the bug is back in full force and i can't work i'm thinking about getting bak there... the people... the smells... the shopping...the food...the temples
Any one else feelin this crazy?
Maybe i could hire out my hubby to earn some extra cash i'm sure he'd love that......Cheap cheap morning price
