we drove from candi dasa to amed and while the scenery was beautiful we had some guys try to trick us into pulling over saying we had a flat tyre. be aware of this if you are going to drive yourself around there as they are only after money... We enjoyed our drive, and knew of the scam so we didint pull over. You can hire cars in candi dasa and amed but where possible get a driver as it is very remote and you may be the only tourists around. it is so beautiful and less stressfull if you have a driver.
