Hi Andrew40. I have to admit we were a bit slack about dining out as the villas felt so much like home. Mades Warung is close and the meals were good and reasonably priced. Fabios was right next door to it. We did not eat here, but it looked fairly up market. Also Kura Kura is also a good place. Good food, good prices and clean and nice decor. You can ask the villas for transport to these places (if you can't be bothered walking) and they don't charge as they are so close.
There are so many down double 6 street also, but did not go to any. Maybe you will be able to check them out this year and let us know. The Ultimo in Oberio street was nice. Very swishy, do pizza and pasta dishes. Lots of europeans go here though. We only went here as a balinese friend of ours is a waitress here. There was a place right next to it which was also italian food and this place was packed, which is usually a good sign. La tratoria or something like that. Hope this helps
Regards
Trish.
