Hi, last trip was in March, prior to that it was October. Previous trip had stayed at Dynasty (with husband & kids). Did not pay for Dynasty this time, did not expect Dynasty, but even by basic standards I thought that Rama Beach left a lot to be desired, if only for their (lack of) hospitality. Lets just say even my driver commented on the reception staff. Sorry I dont know how to link here is the copy, it was dated 10/3 if you wish to read the follow ups.
Cheers
"..... Just back after 4 nights here. Horses for courses but this little black duck was not impressed at all. Restaurant staff were pleasant but I found the reception/office staff to be seriously lacking PR. O.K. it is only 3 star but my toilet was blocked several times and on arrival had urine all down the front. Lots of caked on things on the tiles on the bathroom tiles .. not sure and not sure I wanted to know. Had lots of problems with the phone cutting out but was charged anyway (even when I tried ringing reception the phone was cutting out), seemed to happen when it rained. Didn't always receive fresh water glasses each day. Laundry had to be chased up and arrived back damp. The advertised "regular" service to Kuta was only 4 times a day and if you didn't know which one of the return services you wanted to catch you were told to get a taxi back. Service in the pool bar was slow - one cocktail took a good 10 min to produce. Pizza was good though. I actually felt at times a little discriminated against. Germans & Japanese had towels and complimentary water at dinner. No towels for me and when water was requested I got the bottle of Aqua. Horses for courses but I dont think it was good value at all.
