When we went in Feb, Garuda weighed our hand luggage and we were over with our total weight. They wanted to charge us but after reference to supervisor and explaining our donations to the school they allowed us through. It was Qantas staff checking us in and they were very strict even though the flight was only half full. Its the luck of the draw. R
