It,s amazing how you think of things to tell after you have posted. the first afternoon in Kuta we were off to Discovery Plaza for new glasses. Thanks to all who posted about the optometrists there.Had taken with me a few pair of frames i bought from op-shop and wanted new lenses. Now a short time before we went away i had a pair of bi-focals and a pair of reading lenses replaced in my frames and cost was $350.Optik Tunggal ,first left inside complex were brilliant.Gave them the script and they then checked bifocals i was wearing to see script the same.No worry, take 1 week, cost 400,000rph.What a deal, just under $60A.When we returned from Kuta called and picked them up and i haven,t stopped wearing them since.Seem to be better aligned than the others. Can,t recommend them highly enough. Thanks all.
The next morning our dear friend Helgi came to visit us.In all the years we have been using him never had a problem.Lovely guy.Told us he was going to open a store down near the Dynasty. You beaut. We wish him well.
On the Tuesday Puja had to collect Geoff and Louise and family of Bali insight tours from airport so his younger brother came and collected us for trip to Ubud.Just as nice as his brother.
As we wanted to be near the Birthing Centre i had mailed the Saren Indah after a recommendation here and was not disappointed. As we were driving up the road in the village Robin was walking back from the town.Said hello and when settled into our room we took all the goodies down and spent a delightful few hours with her and the girls. The bras were the hit of the day and we had a lot of laughs. One woman was in the last stages of labour and as we were leaving another arrived ready to deliver.Believe the was another baby born later that night.More later.
