There is a lot of confusion right now as it's all so new....
Today is the last day before Qantas and Australian implement the levy and it is $31 per sector.....ouch.
Garuda last day tomorrow - $10 per sector, so as mentioned if you have an unwanted stop anywhere bad luck you pay that sector cost.
Air Paradise $13 per sector last day April 28.
Now talking to a Perth agent yesterday the Perth charges are in fact more than the East coast departures. Don't know the figures off the top of my head.
It really is a case of checking with your travel agent and if you think they're jacking it up in any way ask for soemthing from the airline or just ring the airline. The agents are not supposed to mark up a levy.... Some may have a handling cost??? who knows.
