First time - vaccinations?

Hi, we're going to Bali (Ubud and Tanah Lot) for the first time in late July. I've spoken to my doctor who has suggested varied vaccinations; HepA, Typhoid, Malaria etc. I've had a few friends however say not to worry at all...
I never worried about anything when we went to Phuket but is it better to be safe than sorry???
