O.K.i,m over the depressed state and adjusting to the cold here.
FLIGHTS-----for first time went Garuda.Arrived at Perth a/port in pre-dawn hour for a 6.50am flight.Airport just about empty and then had to wait till 6am for immigration to open.Glad i don,t suffer from claustrophobia as the plane was so cramped with seating.Only 3/4 full but seemed so small.Service!!!!! well after surving up a cold breakfast thought the crew had bailed out.Put on a movie but didn,t turn off lights.Coming home was better although an hour late departing.About 1/2 full so grabbed a 3 seater as soon as door closed and had a seat between us.Nice meal, but no extra service.Oh well, able to have a kip.
ARRIVALS-----on time in Bali and out thru voa and customs in no time. Our bags(stripy ones) were a bit torn but we were waved thru.Home coming was just a good, picked up our grog, told customs guy only had tea bags, suitcase one of first off plane and waved thru after bag x-rayed.Had taken old car and left at airport so checked it started, paid the money,$54 for 11 days and home to bed by midnight.
TRANSPORT------as usual Puja our friend from Bali insight tours was waiting for us waving like mad.He was so happy as 3rd child and a son was due with the week.Off to Matahari Bungalows on Legian st and arrived there by 11am.Had notified we would be early so didn,t have to wait for room.
ROOMS there the first one we had 15 was rather delapidated in the bathroom area but as we were only there for 2 nights didn,t worry.Must say their breakfasts were great and we decided to eat in the restaurant at front and surprisingly good.Got friendly with chef and when we returned for last night was welcomed with open arms. Our return for last night and day was to a much better room 23 upstairs.Pool area was clean and it was quiet.Would i stay there again---only for a few nights as a starting point.
Think i had better go and do a bit of P.R. work now and earn some more money.Tomorrow Ubud/Birthing centre/school visit.
