voa does it have to be in USD$?

Hey there everyone thought I was all organised departure from Perth in 18 sleeps but just heard that the VOA tax of USD$25 has to be paid on entry to Bali in USD$. I was planning to either pay in AUD$, CCard or even in Roops..... would value advice a) to save time and b) to avoid being moaned at by husband who thinks I am super-organised.
