I posted a similar question about a month ago and got good comments but did leave me a bit uncertain about what was best for.People I know with children and have been to Bali in the last year all opted not to have any vaccinations. My doctor said to be safe he would reccommend Hep A& B, Typhoid, and polio, diptheria and tetanus but being a practical doctor who has travelled with his children he reccommended we have Hep A as this disease of the liver can take a long time to get over. We have therefore decided to have one shot of Hep A which will cost around $200 for the 4 of us and decide when we get back whether we will have the booster which would then offer protection for about 10 years. You could also opt for the combination Hep A and typhoid which is about $30 more per person. My doctor said there are different medical opinions on the booster shots for tetanus, polio and diptheria. ie. that boosters were diluting the protection. If we have an injury that is a worry in regard to tetanus we will have one then just like we would at home.
