I have flown Cathay Pacific from Los Angeles to Bali via Hong Kong, and it wasn't bad considering the unavoidable length of time in the air. The economy seats are about average in size, leg room and comfort, but there is an individual screen on the back of each seat, so each passenger has a lot of options for watching movies, etc. The food was palatable, they served free wine with the meals, and there were plenty of between-meal snacks. The flight attendants were friendly and helpful, and everyone received a little amenities kit with travel-size toothbrush and toothpaste, etc. On the way back, there were several families flying back from Hong Kong with baby girls they had adopted in China, and it was a delight to witness their joy. I would rate Cathay Pacific as better than average.
