Indus and Casa Luna are both owned by Janet deNeefe and have a touch of 'eye for detail'. Indus is set up on the rivers edge high above the riveen. The lovely advantage of Lotus Cafe is that you can watch a Legong dance at the Royal palace whilst you dine (at night time).
Dirty Duck, just past where Monkey Forest Rd comes out on to Jl Hanoman has wonderful atmosphere and food too. (Combine it with a late afternoon pampering session at the Zen centre then wander down to DD).
I love Ubud!
Cafe Wayan on Monkey Forest Rd is highly recommended.
Ari's on Jl Ubud, just along from Casa Luna is very modern and I think the 'place to be seen'. We had outstanding pre dinner snacks.
