Australia doesn't have a problem. The question is, how long do you need to have left on your passport to get into Indonesia (and Singapore and other countries like that). The answer is 6 months from the date you leave Indonesia, etc. Indonesian immigration officials don't care what Australia says about how much you need left on your passport.
